Online travel company Worldspan has appointed Michael Wood to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Dale Messick, who recently resigned as senior vice president and CFO of Worldspan, will continue with the company in a consulting role.
Wood will assume responsibility for Worldspan’s worldwide financial operations, including accounting and financial reporting, investor relations, financial analysis, budgeting, taxes, treasury, purchasing and all of the company’s facilities.
Prior to joining Worldspan, Wood served as senior VP and general manager emerging technologies for ChoicePoint, a provider of identification and credential verification services. He began his tenure at ChoicePoint as senior vice president and CFO.
Wood previously served in various management roles including CFO at Lane Bryant, a division of The Limited Inc. In addition, he held corporate finance and auditing positions with Primerica Corp. and GE.
