The N.C. Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance (NCHICA) has joined forces with the S.C. HIPAA Consortium (SCHC) to help organizations comply with federal regulations.
NCHICA launched one of the first collaborative HIPAA efforts in the United States in 1999, and its 250 member organizations have developed sample documents and software tools to assist organizations in reaching compliance with the HIPAA Privacy, Security and Transactions & Code Sets regulations.
Now, members of the SCHC will be able to benefit from NCHICA’s work and receive discounts on the HIPAA EarlyView Privacy and Security software tools.
“We are very excited about SCHC joining NCHICA,” said Holt Anderson, executive director of NCHICA. “SCHC has done great work in educating covered entities about HIPAA in South Carolina. This new relationship will do much to advance the cause of better healthcare in both of our states.”
