NCEITA, the North Carolina Electronics and Information Technologies Association, is pleased to announce that Joel Barker, the President of Infinity Limited, Inc. will be one of its keynote speakers at the 10th Annual Information Technology forum, A CEO Conversation: Insight to Innovation, on Wednesday, March 17.

Barker’s presentation at the Forum event will look at the following issues confronting leaders of organizations who are attempting to drive, navigate and optimize innovation opportunities:

  • Capitalizing on technology related innovation.

  • Conditions that suggest the existence of new paradigms and related opportunities

  • How to determine the right set of solutions that fit together most coherently to guide our organizations into the future and
    the pitfalls and implications of embracing innovation on a piecemeal basis and/or not involving those most directly impacted by innovation.
  • Since 1974, Barker has written for a variety of magazines and has spoken to more than one million people all over the world. Barker was the first person to popularize the concept of paradigm shifts for the corporate world. His book on paradigms, Future Edge: Discovering the New Paradigms of Success, published in 1992, was listed as one of the most influential business books of that year by the prestigious Library Journal. It has been used in more than 150 colleges and universities for more than a decade.

    Barker is also the author of Five Regions of the Future: A Revolutionary Roadmap to the 21st Century and Paradigms, The Business of Discovering the Future.

    Barker has worked with organizations, both for profit and not for profit, all over the world including Singapore, Venezuela, Canada, Mexico and Peru. Some of Barker’s recent clients include: U.S. Dept. of Labor, the Center for Disease Control, the Library of Congress, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Navy Admiral School, McDonalds, VISA and Veritas.
