The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) has announced a record number of international pavilions at CTIA Wireless 2004.

Once again, the CTIA Wireless event has been selected for the U.S. Dept. of Commerce’s International Buyer Program. Through this program, CTIA Wireless 2004 is being promoted worldwide by the department’s network of embassies, consulates and commercial Centers.

International Pavilions, featuring wireless firms from their respective countries, at CTIA Wireless 2004 include the British Technology Partners Pavilion, the China Pavilion, the Finnish Pavilion, the French Pavilion, the Korean Pavilion, the Scottish Pavilion, and the Taiwan Pavilion.

Also, returning to CTIA Wireless this year is the International Business Center, a central meeting place for international visitors providing a separate registration area, private meeting rooms, lounge area, business office and multilingual translators. Commercial Specialists from the U.S. Dept. of Commerce will offer “matchmaking services” to connect international visitors with companies of interest.

The Global Trade Guide, a supplement to the CTIA Official Show Program & Directory, will also be back. This guide is designed to assist international visitors in identifying U.S. based companies seeking joint ventures with overseas companies. Informa Telecoms & Technology Magazine Group produces the Global Trade Guide.

CTIA Wireless, billed as the world’s largest wireless trade show, is set for March 22-24 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
