VR Systems Inc., which focuses on marketing virtual reality (VR) products, has retained OTC Financial Network, a division of National Financial Communications (NFC), to direct a targeted investor relations program.

VR Systems has not had an active market in approximately two years. The company has since undergone a capital reorganization and completed a 4-1 reverse split effected by the Nasdaq to adjust the stock’s trading price. As result of this process, the company’s OTC symbol was changed from VRSY to VRSM.

Related to the reorganization, Atlanta-based VR Systems entered into negotiations to acquire CyberQuest Partners, a privately held development stage company out of Florida. Together the companies plan to manufacture and distribute a proprietary product called the VR Visor, a six-ounce head mounted display that is compatible with most videogame systems.

“VR Systems has developed proprietary imaging systems and integrated chip technology that combine to form a system and a method for virtual reality,” explained CyberQuest President Mark Gray, who has joined the board of VR Systems. “–Through the company’s proprietary technology, the VR Visor is positioned to be first to market at a mass consumer price point of under $200.”

VR Visor will be introduced at electronic product tradeshows, online and retailers this year. Sales and marketing efforts for VR Systems are led by Larry Siegel, the former president of Atari, with product development headed by Wyly Wade, former managing director of Cambridge Technology Partners.

“With a seasoned leadership team in place, VR Systems is positioned to secure channels of distribution for its proprietary product and begin generating revenues this year,” said NFC President Geoffrey Eiten. “We look forward to launching a targeted investor awareness program to introduce VR Systems’ investment merits to the financial community — helping VR Systems build market awareness and increasing their shareholder base.”

Eiten says NFC will implement a pro-active investor relations program, including establishing an online investor profile, to facilitate ongoing interest in VR Systems.
