Scientific-Atlanta reported earnings of $51 million, or 33 cents a share, for its most recent quarter on Thursday as orders and sales jumped over 2003 totals and the previous quarter.

The company (NYSE: SFA) booked $460.5 million, up 27 percent from the first quarter and an increase of 38 percent over 2003 totals. Subscriber product bookings climbed to $346.8 million, up 41 percent from the first quarter and 40 percent from 2003.
