A4 Health Systems is providing St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Michigan with a new electronic information system specifically designed for use in emergency departments.
The contract is valued at $1.7 million.
The HealthMatics paperless, electronic system developed by Cary-based A4 will automate the emergency departments in St. Joseph’s hospitals in Ann Arbor, Saline and Howell, MI.
One of the features of the new system is that doctors, nurses and other caregivers will be able to simultaneously access patients’ care information on multiple computer terminals.
Another feature of the HealthMatics system is the elimination of repetitive questioning at different hospitals by allowing medical history to be reviewed and updated if needed.
