ClickFox, a company focused on customer interaction analysis and optimization solutions for contact centers, has $4 million in new financing and a chief executive officer.

Cedar Fund, Delta Ventures and Veritas Venture Partners led the A round funding.

As part of the financing, ClickFox named Michael Potts as its chief executive officer. Before taking the job, Potts served as president of JACADA, an enterprise integration software company. He helped take the company public in 1999.

ClickFox said the funding would be used to expand its sales force and to provide additional services and support for existing customers.

The company already has a number of high-profile customers, including BellSouth, IBM, Merck and Affiliated Computer Services.

“We are excited about this financing round, which will allow us to leverage our early successes in the contact center optimization arena and pursue a larger customer base,” Potts said in a statement. “We are seeing very strong demand for cross-channel optimization solutions, which ClickFox is uniquely positioned to provide.”

ClickFox was launched in 2000 by Dr. Tal Cohen, a data modeling expert and faculty member at the Georgia Institute of technology, and Nissim Harel, who holds two masters degrees (computer science and electrical engineering) from Georgia Tech.
