Ultimus, a provider of business process management (BPM) and workflow automation solutions, says it continues to build momentum and reaffirm its position within the market.

The Cary-based company reports that it grew 50 percent in 2003 over 2002 on the strength of increased corporate awareness for its BPM Suite and the return on investment its customer base has seen from the suite.

“Throughout the year, we saw the awareness and understanding of business process management solutions increase dramatically in markets across the globe. In response to this expanded interest in BPM, we opened offices in Brazil, France, Mexico and Panama,” said Rashid Khan, co-founder and CEO of Ultimus. “As we move forward into the new year, we believe the combination of our corporate leadership, product offering and customer successes positions Ultimus to fully capitalize on global opportunities and the future growth of the BPM market.”

In September, Ultimus introduced version 6 of its BPM Suite, which provides customers with a collaborative environment for business processes. Ultimus BPM Suite v. 6 provides specific modules appropriate for each type of user in a company; from highly technical IT experts and software developers, to business users.

“At the core of the momentum we generated in 2003 is the Ultimus BPM Suite. Without the suite’s innovative workflow and process management capabilities, customers — would not have been able to address critical process-related inefficiencies,” added Khan. “This year, we are looking forward to delivering industry-leading functionality that will enable organizations to further transform workflow and business process management throughout the enterprise.”
