New York Times Columnist To Speak at Kenan-Flagler

David Brooks, op-ed columnist at The New York Times, will speak at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School on Jan. 7.

The free public Weatherspoon Lecture will be in the school’s Maurice J. Koury Auditorium at 5 PM, followed by a reception in the Kenan Center.

Brooks has been a regular analyst on “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer,” senior editor at The Weekly Standard and a monthly columnist for the Atlantic Monthly.

Brooks’ first book, “BoBos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There,” was on The New York Times’ bestseller list. His next book, about suburban life in America, is due in spring 2004.
