Ebix, a supplier of software and e-commerce solutions to the insurance industry, recently changed its name from ebix.com and launched a new logo to mark the event.
Over the last few quarters, Ebix says it has expanded its portfolio of services with a focus on custom software development and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), leading to the name change.
“The former name did not do justice to our brick and mortar infrastructure in India and the related BPO, Call Center & Development divisions–,” said Robin Raina, chairman, president and CEO. “The company remains proud of its pioneering role in the insurance industry in terms of bringing Internet ASP based products to the insurance industry.”
Ebix is based in Atlanta and was founded in 1976.
