Internet Security Systems (ISS) has introduced several resources to help organizations comply with privacy legislation, board-imposed risk management requirements and homeland defense initiatives.
ISS’ new tools will assist healthcare, financial services and utility industries with security requirements set forth in government and industry regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Gramm-Leach- Bliley, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition and Sarbanes-Oxley.
To help customers meet security best practices and achieve regulatory compliance, ISS employs a five-step process that covers the security management lifecycle, including phases for assessment, design, deployment, management and education (ADDME).
The ADDME process identifies and analyzes the gaps between an organization’s current security status and government and industry requirements. Following the ADDME process, ISS helps customers close the gaps and ensure ongoing compliance.
ISS also has launched its new True Blue Customer Portal for customers submitting and tracking support incidents online, as well as receiving priority notifications with information on new and emerging threats.
The three tiers are Standard, Select and Premium levels of product maintenance and support services. The new service levels are designed to assist customers with the deployment and ongoing operations of all ISS products and services through technical expertise, real-time access to problem resolution information, product enhancements, and access to ISS’ X-Force security intelligence.
