For the second time this year, Grant Thornton has placed second in quarterly audit gains.

KPMG led the quarterly audit rankings, determined by the largest net gain in revenue audited for the quarter. The ranking is compiled by Public Accounting Report.

“We have a passion for exceeding the expectations of our clients and believe that this ranking is the direct result of our satisfied clients telling others about our service capabilities,” said Mike McGuire, Carolinas managing partner for Grant Thornton in Charlotte. “While we are pleased with the ranking, our goal is not to be the biggest, but the best in serving middle-market companies around the world.”

In the past year, Grant Thornton has landed more than 1,000 new engagements and reported record revenue growth of 25 percent.

Globally, Grant Thornton International employs more than 21,000 people in 110 countries, with nearly $2 billion in revenues.

The Carolinas practice includes approximately 300 personnel, who serve clients out of offices in Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro, NC, and Columbia, SC.
