CARY,Infineon, a developer of semiconductors, will dedicate its new facility today as it continues to expand the workforce hired to man the plant.

Infineon has hired 75 people in recent weeks, doubling the number working in Cary. The company intends to employ 400 people by 2007.

North Carolina recruited Infineon with a variety of incentives.

The sixth largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world, Infineon produces chips for a variety of purposes, from wireless devices and computers to industrial machinery.
