Virtuoso Networks, a Greensboro startup focused on music software, has closed on $215,000 in financing.
Virtuoso, which moved its operation to India after raising some initial funds, said the latest round came from angels and investors in India. The company’s research is based on work done by Dr. Jack Jarrett, a professor of composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He also taught at UNC-Greensboro.
Virtuoso uses specially configured synthesizers to create what it calls “concert hall quality music performances.”
The company hopes to return its operation to Greensboro next year, according to The Triad Business Journal.
