Arsenal Digital Solutions is introducing ViaRemote, a network-based backup and recovery service that provides data protection to remote locations and devices.
The company also announced that Terremark Worldwide, an operator of integrated Tier-1 Network Access Points (NAPs) and best-in-class network services, has become the first partner to offer ViaRemote to customers in its NAP of the Americas in Miami, as well as in other TerreNAP Data Center facilities around the world.
ViaRemote delivers disk-based backup and restore services over the Internet or private network. With ViaRemote, Arsenal and its partners enable data protection services wherever data is located, whether in the data center, remote office or at the mobile workforce.
“With ViaRemote, we are providing our partners a fully managed data protection service to help them increase both the reach of their services and the revenue they generate from those services,” said Frank Brick, Arsenal’s chairman and CEO. “Arsenal succeeded in removing the limitation of bandwidth and lowering the cost of data protection to deliver data protection for the masses.”
Cary-based Arsenal and Terremark also announced a partnership to deliver backup and restore and SAN services in addition to the new remote, network-based data protection service.
