carbonhouse, a consulting and design firm, is currently redesigning the web site for Visit Charlotte, an organization focused on increasing tourism and business for the city.
carbonhouse plans to unveil the new site in late December.
Visit Charlotte is a portal that incorporates travel and tourism information about the metropolitan area. Organization members include the City of Charlotte, Charlotte City Center Partners, the Charlotte Auditorium-Coliseum-Convention Center Authority and other businesses.
“Working with carbonhouse, we will completely redesign the look and feel of the site to make it much more attractive to convention visitors, leisure travelers, our partners and residents of the Charlotte region,” said Kim Rickwood, vice president of marketing for Visit Charlotte.
But there will be more than cosmetic changes to the site, Rickwood added.
“We will also add some important new features to enhance the site’s functionality, such as more dynamic events calendars and partnership listings,” Rickwood said.
Carbonhouse, which was launched in 1999, has numerous clients, including Bank of America, American Wholesale Insurance Company, Global Compliance Services, and UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business.
“This is an opportunity for Visit Charlotte to elevate their brand on the web,” said Brandon Uttley, president of carbonhouse. “The site is a critical sales and marketing tool for the city, and as such it deserves a dynamic presence that will make it stand out in a very competitive environment.”
