Third-quarter revenues soared 50 percent over 2002 totals, hitting $8.9 million, Closure Medical reported on Thursday.

Closure (Nasdaq: CLSR) also reported that revenues were $25.5 million for the year, 50 percent higher than a year ago.

Sales of Dermabound products continue to increase, providing most of the revenue, according to the company. Closure ended up with net income of $2 million, or 13 cents a share, for the quarter. The same figures a year ago were $434,000, or 3 cents a share. So far this year net revenue is $5.5 million, more than three times the 2002 total.
