The Atlanta CEO High Tech Council has attracted over one hundred investors from around the country, representing over $14 billion in capital, to meet with Georgia technology companies at an invitation-only Investor Showcase.

The Investor Showcase, organized by the CEO Council together with the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), takes place on Oct. 21 in conjunction with TAG’s Georgia Technology Celebration.

Many of the participating investors include representatives from venture firms outside of the Southeast. Some of the early out-of-region registrants include ABS Capital, Apex Venture Partners, Atlas Ventures, Austin Ventures, Battery Ventures, Boston Millennia Partners, Columbia Capital, Flagship Ventures, IDG Ventures, JMI Equity, M/C Venture Partners, NEA, Novak Biddle, RBC Ventures, Tudor Ventures, and Valhalla Partners.

Also participating are some the leading venture firms in the Southeast, including Alliance Technology Ventures, Frontier Capital, HIG Ventures, Intersouth Partners, Kinetic Ventures, Lovett Miller, Mellon Ventures, Noro-Moseley Partners, Paladin Capital, River Cities Capital and the Wakefield Group.

“With over one hundred investors already registered to participate, the 2003 Investor Showcase will be one of the largest events of its type in the history of Georgia technology,” said Cclebration chair John Yates, who leads the technology group at the law firm of Morris, Manning & Martin. “This is an extraordinary opportunity for Georgia technology companies to present their case to top-tier investors, many of whom come from outside of the region.”

The presenting technology companies were chosen by the CEO Council based on evaluations and recommendations from a selection committee consisting of local investors and business leaders. The selection committee focused primarily on companies with existing revenues and high growth potential.

As previously announced, the presenting companies include AllConnect, Alogent, Broniec Associates, CardioMEMS, CipherTrust, Datatrac, GuardedNet, iVivity, OverSight Technologies, SaluMedica, Trusted Network Technologies and Vesdia Corp.

“This event, combined with the Technology Celebration, promises to represent our state as a world class environment for technology and innovation,” said Harish Mamtani, president of the CEO Council. “These twelve companies have perfect stories to showcase technology in Georgia.”

The Investor Showcase kicks off at 8 AM at the Cobb Galleria and runs through 11:45 AM. As an invitation-only event, the Investor Showcase is open only to qualified venture capitalists, corporate venture funds, institutional investors and CEO Council sponsors.
