THOMASVILLE,Xceldyne Technologies, an engineering firm focused on high-end products for the auto racing industry, is relocating its headquarters and manufacturing facility to Thomasville.
The company, which is based in Valencia, CA, announced the move this week.
“As we recently stated, Xceldyne has been considering a relocation to accommodate our new expansion,” said Ben McCabe, an executive with the firm. “The company had received several positive offers from local governments on both the East coast and West coast designed to lure our investment to their area. However, the incentive package approved by the city of Thomasville and Davidson County officials proved encouraging and simply reinforced our belief that this is an ideal area to invest in and expand upon our operations.”
Several other firms that work with the racing industry also are located in the area, and the plant location will be close to the FedEx hub to be built in Greensboro.
