Optimus Solutions has hired Steve Johnson as the company’s executive vice president and general manager.

Johnson joins Optimus from e^deltacom IT Solutions, where he served as vice president and developed markets for IT hardware, software and services with best of breed technology vendors.

“Steve’s most valuable attribute is his ability to establish strong end user and vendor relationships,” said Mark Metz, chief executive officer and president of Optimus. “He is known for his exemplary leadership skills and proven performance in building successful solutions companies.”

Previously, Johnson founded Bay Data Consultants in 1997 and served as the firm’s president and sales manager until its acquisition in 1999 by IFN. He started his career with Harris Lanier in 1983 and is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in business.
