Misys Healthcare Systems has been selected as one of only five vendors to present at the first-ever “Technology Showcase” during the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) 2003 Annual Conference in Philadelphia.

The “Technology Showcase,” scheduled for Oct. 12, is a series of educational sessions designed to inform conference attendees about technology applications to broaden their knowledge and make them better-informed users and consumers.

Raleigh-based Misys will discuss its EMR system, an electronic medical records solution that streamlines clinical workflow, collects and stores patient information, provides instant access to patient information, and integrates with practice management solutions.

“Although more physician practices are now turning to EMR systems, the overall penetration of practices with these systems is still pretty low,” said Scott Boyden, director of EMR sales for Misys. “We want to give MGMA attendees a broader view of how EMR systems can help everyone at their practice work smarter, quicker and much more efficiently.”
