WINSTON-Time is running out for entrepreneurs who want to enter the Triad Entrepreneurial Initiative’s “Spark” competition.

The deadline is midnight, Sept. 21.

“Spark” is one of three competitions offered by the TEI. Entrepreneurs in the 12-county Triad region are eligible to enter. Six $1,500 cash awards will be presented.

The 12 counties are: Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin.

To enter, entrepreneurs must provide: a value proposition, description of produce, service or business model; market analysis; marketing plan/outline; revenue model; a brief description of the business for publicity by TEI, and acceptance of a confidentiality agreement.

The three competitions, which were launched in 2001, have generated $250,000 to Triad-based startups.

Winners will be named on Oct. 9.
