Salix stock continued to climb Wednesday after good news on a drug trial and a “strong buy” recommendation from a Wall Street analyst on Tuesday. Red Hat shares also climbed Wednesday as the Nasdaq set a 19-month high.

Salix (Nasdaq: SLXP) climbed nearly 11 percent, or $1.83, to close above $18. It had surged more than 20 percent on Tuesday.

Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT) climbed 8.5 percent to close at $7.89.
