After sampling a competitor, one of the largest rental car firms in the Carolinas is turning to BellSouth for its communications services.
Triangle Rent A Car has selected BellSouth to provide long distance service to all its 23 offices in the Carolinas and Virginia.
In addition, BellSouth will provide local service in the Carolinas and a dedicated T1 connection to support Triangle Rent A Car’s call center operations in Raleigh.
Frank Colonna, founder and owner for Triangle Rent A Car, said the decision brought significant cost savings, as well as access to BellSouth’s secure and reliable network, backed by a history of excellent customer service.
Colonna said Triangle started using BellSouth but later changed providers in an effort to cut its communications costs.
“It didn’t take long to realize our new providers were not as cost-effective and did not have the reliable customer service we had become accustomed to by using BellSouth,” he said. “In the end, we recognized that our initial decision to use BellSouth was, in fact, the best decision for our organization and our customers.”
In 2002, Atlanta-based BellSouth became the first regional Bell operating company to offer long distance in its entire territory.
Triangle Rent A Car rented its first car in February 1979 from its home base in Raleigh. Today, the company has 23 branch offices throughout the Carolinas and Virginia, a fleet of over 4,000 cars, trucks and vans, over 380 employees and has rented to millions of customers.
