Grant Thornton and CheckFree will work together to offer solutions to the governmental financial management sector, the companies said Tuesday.

The effort includes CheckFree’s compliance solutions business unit and Grant Thornton’s global public sector practice, combining CheckFree’s reconciliation system with Grant Thornton;s business, financial and information technology consulting.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) already utilizes CheckFree’s reconciliation solutions and Grant Thornton’s consulting.
