The owner of Cari Fabrics, Jere Ayers, will join the board of directors at Summus, a developer of applications and information processing tools for wireless multimedia.
Ayers has been the owner of Cari Fabrics, which has made knitted apparel fabrics since 1989, and a founding partner of My Garb Inc., a producer of printed T-shirts sold through the Internet.
Formerly, Ayers was a founder and member of the board of directors of ACW Management, a large dry cleaning company located in North Carolina and Virginia.
Ayers is also a member of the advisory board of directors of Wachovia Bank for the High Point area.
