RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK–WebSourced Inc., owner of search engine optimization sites KewordRanking.com and ProRanking.com, has acquired Cherish.com and plans to re-launch the site as an online dating service.
“We are extremely excited to announce this acquisition,” said Pat Martin, chief executive officer and president of WebSourced.
“Many of our staff are single and had expressed their frustration with the complexity of online dating and were discouraged by all of the personality quizzes and tests. The fun had been taken out of online dating.”
Martin added, “After conducting our own survey, we concluded that many singles were unhappy with the dating sites choosing their partner. We decided to build our own online dating community where adults could meet in a fun and safe environment and decide for themselves who they should date.”
“We have researched and analyzed a vast amount of information pertinent to the online dating industry and believe there is a need for a strong competitor to challenge the status quo,” said Andy Beal, vice president of marketing.
WebSourced owns KeywordRanking.com and ProRanking.com, which assist more than 1,000 companies in increasing online revenues by obtaining better positioning on search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.
The company plans to re-launch Cherish.com in the fall, but says interested adults can sign up now and receive free service prior to its official launch.
WebSourced Inc. is owned by CGI Holding Corp. (OTC:CGIH).
