Brad Wurtz, a former executive with Cisco Systems, is the new vice president of sales and marketing for Caspian Networks, a Cisco rival.

Wurtz had left Cisco to become a venture capitalist with Ironweed Capital, a seed firm based in California. He was co-founder and general partner.

During a 10-year tenure at Cisco, Wurtz was vice president and general manager of Cisco’s IP packet voice unit. He also served as vice president and general manager of Cisco’s multi-service switching business.
