Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY)and Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq: RHAT), open source and Linux provider, said that Sybase has become a Red Hat Premier Partner, deepening the existing relationship between the two software companies.
At the first stage of this agreement, Sybase has certified its enterprise-class data management systems on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
“Working with Sybase is critical to our pursuit of the global expansion of the Red Hat enterprise Linux platform,” said Mike Evans, vice president of channel sales and development at Red Hat.
“Sybase’s participation in our Premier Partner program and certification of its data management solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux gives customers more options when deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux in their organization.”
Sybase sells software that integrates platforms, databases and applications.
