Sky Falling? Conference To Debate RTP Air Quality

Might high-tech hold some answers to RTP’s growing air quality program? Is mass transit the answer?

Those are among the topics to be discussed Thursday at the “Is the Sky Falling? Addressing Air Quality in the Triangle.” The event, sponsored by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Triangle Regional Council at the new EPA building in RTP.

The Triangle is expected to be listed under the EPA’s “clean air nonattainment” in 2004. And such a ruling could have economic consequences for the region.
