John Glushik and Gareng Kong have been promoted to partner at Intersouth Partners.

Glushink joined Intersouth in 1999 with an emphasis on technology investments. He most recently led Intersouth’s investment in Xactional and is a director on the board of SmartPath.

Glushik earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University as well as an MS in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in mechanical engineering and materials science from Duke University.

Kong joined Intersouth in 2000 and has assisted in several life science investments, including Serenex and Sopherion.

He graduated at the top of his class at Duke medical school, earning a PhD in biomedical engineering in less than three years. He also received a BS in both chemical engineering and biological sciences from Stanford University.
