With the announcement last week of expanding DSL service across nearly 20 locations in Georgia, BellSouth is close to offering DSL at all its central office locations in the Carolinas and Georgia.
BellSouth intends to complete digital subscriber line (DSL) service across South Carolina by the end of the year, a spokesperson for the company tells Local Tech Wire.
North Carolina already has the high-speed data service at virtually all BellSouth central offices, the spokesperson added. The only two offices in North Carolina not equipped are at airports, are all fiber based, and are not suitable for DSL, he said.
Information on DSL coverage area can be found at BellSouth’s web site.
