The Raleigh-Durham and Atlanta metropolitan areas rank No. 4 and 5 respectively in Forbes magazine’s 2003 top 10 list for “Best Places for Business and Careers.”
Austin, TX, was ranked first followed by Boise, ID.
Rankings were based on data compiled by Economy.com of West Chester, PA. Factors included income, job growth, costs of doing business and available labor pool.
Filling out the top 10, in descending order, were: Madison, WI; Provo, UT; Omaha, NE; Des Moines, IA; Dallas, TX; and Washington DC-Northern Virginia.
