Misys Healthcare Systems is moving the headquarters of its Homecare Systems unit to Raleigh from New Jersey, the company announced Tuesday morning.
The move is expected to bring as many as 50 jobs to Raleigh.
Misys said the group will be relocated to the Misys corporate headquarters on Six Forks Road in North Raleigh.
Homecare Systems offers information technology solutions to home care, hospice and private duty organizations and has some 600 clients. It employs more than 100 people, with 60 based in New Jersey. Of those, 30 will transfer. Twelve employees already have been hired in Raleigh, and others are being recruited, the company said.
“Raleigh is the logical place for Homecare Systems to be,” said Tom Skelton, chief executive officer of Misys, in a statement. “With the Triangle’s large tech presence — along with leading universities — it is rich in talent and has appropriate resources readily available.”
