COLUMBIA, S.C. …Â No news is bad news for South Carolina technology firms, which haven’t posted a new venture deal in weeks.
LocalTechWire is adding to its list this week one deal that closed during the first quarter but was disclosed only in the MoneyTree Survey statistics. InsLogic, an online insurance products service in Columbia, obtained $1.1 million.
The two deals so far this year equals the pace the state saw last year, but the $65 million raised in 2003 far exceeds the $15 million closed on a year ago.
