Expanding its efforts to provide more programming options for networks, Nortel says it has struck a partnership with Ubiquity Software.
By combining its Interactive Multimedia Server with Ubiquity’s application server, Nortel says its IMS customers can developed enhanced services for delivery over wireless and wireline packet-based networks.
Network service providers are looking for ways to drive additional revenue, and packet-based voice and multimedia services offer those opportunities, Nortel said. The partnership with Ubiquity is part of its “Succession Services” initiative launched earlier this year.
