BellSouth now can make available Internet Protocol-based services across its nine-state network.
Working with Cisco and Juniper, BellSouth says it is the first of the regional Bell operating companies to deploy multiple protocol label switching (MPLS) across its backbone.
IP transport enables BellSouth to offer a variety of enhanced voice, data and video solutions and also ensuring quality of service.
