A genotyping and diagnostic testing facility owned by bankrupt DNA Sciences is among company assets acquired by Genaissance Pharmaceuticals of New Haven, CN.
A federal bankruptcy judge approved the transfer of assets to Genaissance on Monday for $1.35 million in cash.
DNA Sciences applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April.
Genaissance also acquires a portfolio of patents and a diagnostic test related to determining the side effects of certain drugs.
In a press release, Genaissance said it would offer its existing customers “access” to the Morrisville facility.
DNA Sciences, founded in 1998, is based in Fremont, CA. with operations in RTP and Cambridge, England.
