Business North Carolina’s annual high-tech business survey has named Durham-based Cree at its company of the year.
Jim Nichols, formerly of the state Department of Commerce, Jeff Reid, executive director of Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Venturing at UNC Chjapel Hill, Jim Davis, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at SAS, and David Kinney, editor-in-chief and publisher of the magazine, were the judges.
Runners-up were LendingTree in Charlotte, Red Hat in Raleigh and Ultimus software in Cary.
