BURLINGTON,TriPath Imaging drove up sales and cut its losses in the most recent quarter.
The company (Nasdq: TPTH) said revenues hit $11.1 million, up 47 percent than the first quarter of 2002. It reported a loss of $2.4 million, or 6 cents a share, which is 56 percent lower than last year.
A 76 percent increase in worldwide sales of its Surepath and PrepStain reagents and disposables made up three quarters of the firm’s sales. Reagents are substances used in a chemical reaction to detect, measure, examine, or produce other substances.
