Wireless communications company T-Mobile has awarded a four-year contract worth $300 million to Nortel for upgrades in its network.
Nortel will provide a variety of core and radio access products. The upgrades are scheduled for its USA network, including New York, Chicago, Dallas, Milwaukee, Denver, Detroit and Salt Lake City.
T-Mobile has been among the most aggressive wireless companies in offering online data access, multimedia services, instant messaging and two-way text messaging.
