Funeral services for Jake Froelich, chairman of the Piedmont Entrepreneurs Network who died at his home on Tuesday, will be Saturday in High Point.
Froelich, 72, was a long-time leader in business and the arts in the Triad. He lived in High Point.
Froelich also was an early investor in the Piedmont Angel Network.
“Jake will be deeply missed,” said Charles Tuttle, executive director of PEN, in an e-mail to its members.
“Jake could see new possibilities where most of us saw nothing. If Jake decided something new was worth doing and could be done, he threw his energy behind it.
“Jake was passionate in his belief that entrepreneurs could improve the lives of everyone in the Piedmont Triad.”
In honor of Froelich, PEN has established the Froelich Fellows program, which will offer free PEN membership to entrepreneurs who can’t afford the membership fee. (Contributions can be made to assist the program by sending a check to PEN at 2007 Yanceyville Street, Box 37, Greensboro 27405.)
Funeral services will be at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in High Point on Saturday at 11 AM.
Froelich was president of Froleich Companies.
