Consulting firm IDC has a bit of good news for IT firms today. Spending will increase in 2003, the firm says, albeit by a meager 1.5 percent to $372 billion.
Growth over the next five years will be higher, growing at a compound annual rate of 4.9 percent, IDC says. IT spending should hit $467 in 2007.
