Wyeth Pharmaceuticals said Wednesday it is bringing as many as 100 jobs to RTP this fall when it opens an 82,000 square feet facility for vaccine production.
Wyeth is leasing the space in Keystone Industrial Park. The company said the move is an extension of its vaccines campus in Sanford, NC, and some jobs in Sanford will be relocated. There will be some new hires, and other workers will be relocated from plants in Pennsylvania and New York.
Wyeth expects the facility to begin production in October.
The company said the expansion is a result of increasing demand for vaccines such as Prevnar and HibTTER.
