Dan Stevenson, who has worked at MCNC since 1990 except for taking time to help launch spin-off Celotek in 1996, has been named a vice president of the MCNC Research and Development Institute.
Stevenson will be in charge of strategic planning related to the institute’s research and development for applications, databases and advanced network design.
At Celotek, he was co-founder and vice president as well as chief technology officer. Celotek focused on virtual private networks.
