A4 Health Systems, which is one of the 23 firms presenting at Venture 2003 this week, wrapped up its largest acquisition on Friday.

In a deal involving cash and stock, A4 acquired Compusense, Inc. of Nashua, NH. A4 will incorporate Compusense’s management practice system, known as Ntierprise, into A4’s HealthMatics electronic medical records solution.

The companies had cooperated on joint installations before.

Compusense, which has some 60 employees, will maintain an office in Nashua and two other locations.

A4 said the deal means the company has a customer base of more than 1,000 physician practice organizations and more than 100 hospitals.
