Tim Tompkins, the executive who spearheaded the Council for Entrepreneurial development’s multi-million dollar “Innovation to Impact” campaign, has joined the North Carolina practice of Grant
Thornton to head up its business development efforts.

Tompkins left CED after wrapping up the campaign which thus far has produced pledges of cash and in-kind services worth $4.5 million. Tompkins also has considerable experience over the years working with other nonprofit firms.

Grant Thornton is an international accounting and business advisory firm with offices throughout the United States and 110 countries. It had revenues of $1.84 billion in 2002, $400 million of which was produced in the US.
