NetBank, which bills itself as the first commercially successful Internet bank, is branching out.
Through a sister company, NetInsurance, the firm now offers a variety of insurance plans from a variety of companies. Initially, NetInsurance offers car insurance in a number of states, including Georgia and South Carolina. The company is conducting trials for homeowners insurance coverage as well.
