3M has acquired GuardiaNet Systems, a software company focused on the library market. Terms were not disclosed.
GuardiaNet provides software and hardware that manages and collects fees for such library resources as computers, copiers and audiovisual equipment. 3M said the deal is a boost to its efforts in the so-called shared resource management business.
GuardiaNet operates as an application services provider.
